Peter Grimes

Peter loves working with acrylic paint and canvas paper.

The paper makes it easier to draw fine line for detail and outlining. The paint is quick drying and gives a good solid colour.

Peter was first inspired by the Celtic knotwork of an artist named Joulz, featured on the record sleeves of his favourite band New Model Army.

Today he is inspired by the many and varied great artworks in old illuminated manuscripts.

Famous artists who have influenced Peter's work include Joulz, George Bains and Aidan Meehan.

Peter helps with some of the more major jobs that keep the gallery open including painting and decorating, hanging and installation.
